Gross Vehicle Weight Rating VS Gross Combined Weight Rating.  

Displaying your USDOT number correctly is one of the most important things to display as a trucker. A few things to keep in mind is that your USDOT number must contrast with the color of your vehicle and must be visible from 50 feet away. In the example below, you can easily see the dark blue USDOT number but the lettering below is difficult to see and is not DOT compliant.
